National Library's Secret Chamber
Sometimes an article is so awesome that I must quote it.
National Library [in the Indian city of Kolkata] has always been reputed to haunted. Now, here is a really eerie secret. A mysterious room has been discovered in the 250-year-old building a room that no one knew about and no one can enter because it seems to have no opening of kind, not even trapdoors.
The chamber has lain untouched for over two centuries. Wonder what secrets it holds. The archaeologists who discovered it have no clue either, their theories range from a torture chamber, or a sealed tomb for an unfortunate soul or the most favoured of all a treasure room. Some say they wouldn't be surprised if both skeletons and jewels tumble out of the secret room.

Wow that's so cool!! I wonder what's in it! Maybe some old books or jewels! I've always dreamed of finding a secret room in my house! (I dought that will ever happen considering it's only 15 years old)
Wow! I wonder what the person who found it must be feeling! I bet it holds all the secret documents stating that all the 'Greats' and heroes throughout history were girls, from the 'Who Were You' post on the Eternal Ones! Eeeep!!! I hope it is.
That's awesome! It would be cool to find some sort of old treasure in there, but I agree there might be some skeletons too.
montana irregulars, I agree that it would be cool to find a secret room in you house. Unfortuanatly, my house was built 5 years ago, and I'm pretty sure the builders didn't feel the need to add a secret room to my house. =(
Awesome!!! I totally want to go there!!!!
*But on a serious note... (lol not really) I was wondering, Kirsten, if you could post about a holiday on Dec 3. It's not a real holiday, but I'm in a gifted kids class and we made up this holiday called Cupcake Day. We brought cupcakes and streamers and goody bags randomly to class one day ( the teacher despised us after that ;D) and we've been celebrating ever since. I'd really like to spread this holiday around, because it's totally awesome!! If you could post about it that would be so wonderful!! But if you can't I understand. Thank you!! ;D
oooohohohhohohohoooohhhh!!!!!!! that. is. so. cool!!!!!!
are they gonna try and bust into it? thats so cool!!!!!!
Well I was just gonna say the same as montana irregulars XD I wish I would find a secret room, but I guess that's probably because I want something exciting to happen kinda like in Kiki Strike.
Kiwi: I wanna celebrate!!
OH MY SQUEE...!
perhaps its the tomb of a band of female warriors.
This is what makes people interested in archeology. It's not just an amazing find, but a historical artifact and incredible inspiration :D
Finding a secret room in my house would be cool, its not quite old enough though. But I do live on the edge of a state park, and go far enough off trail, you can find some really interesting old stuff (train tracks, cars, tractors, ect.)
"The Amontillado! ... Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!"
Hazel: You never cease to surprise me. That's always been one of my favorite stories.
This is cool! I'm going to India in Feburary but I have no idea whther I'll be anywhere near this place.
Kind of off topic but , I thought you should know that there is a MYSTERIOUS MANSION IN MARSHAL MICHIGAN called the Honolulu house. the story of how the house was built may or may be a little off considering that I have not been there since i was 6 but i have always remembered it mystery. A man named Abner Pratt was born in New york. i cant remember why he moved to Hawaii but he did. Nor do remember why he moved back to Marshall michigan( Summers are nice there but winters are FREEZING). when in michigan he missed his old life in Hawaii ( wonder why) so he built a replica of his old house right here in michigan. the house was built on an angle so he could easily spy on his daughters house across the street. but after living in a exotic mansion in michigan for a while the bills began to catch up with him. two secret rooms in his house were sold off to different places in the city, the were actually cut off of his mansion and sold to people in the city.
The rooms sere so big that they were made into small house, the thing is know one knows which houses are actually a part of the mansion. After touring the Honolulu house the guides will ask you to keep an Eye out for the small houses and if any one has any information to contact them.
other facts house was made in 1860 open hours are from 5pm to 7pm ,7 days a week.
yes i did a little research to freshen up my memory so here is the site i used
www. marshel michigan .com
other info not found on this site is from my memory.
