What's Hiding in YOUR Bathroom?

Sometimes, I come across an article that's so perfect that I simply can't bring myself to paraphrase. In these rare cases, I feel I must honor the talented reporter by quoting his/her words. Enjoy.

A 400-YEAR-OLD cat is the last thing you would expect to find when renovating your home. But that is exactly what builders came across in the bathroom of an Ugborough cottage.

Local legend has it that the mummified moggy was placed in the walls of the house near Plymouth to ward off witches four centuries ago and owner Richard Parson said it had done a good job so far.

"I am of the opinion that it works as, since we have lived in the village, we have seen sight nor sound of any witches," he said.

Uh...wow. That's...somewhat...odd.
(And aren't you somewhat glad you don't live in Ugborough?)

I love it! "we haven't had sight or sound of any witches."

By the way, my mom was telling me about one of my friends neighbors, a nintey year old woman who was my friends neighbor, and died two years ago. The old woman was a Russian princess, who got out during the revolution, but whose brother was next in line to be Csar. Isn't that cool? Just like Kiki Strike. Sort of, theme wise, anyway.

just saying: who puts a dead cat in your bathroom? Now, to make another point, now the phrase "it smells like a cat is dying in there" seems ot make more sense.

That is so cool! (and um, rather disgusting and unnerving at the same time!)

Lucky, lucky people. I would love to find something strange like that in my house! I guess I'm just weird, though.

The picture totally creeped me out but I think that it would be cool to have a superstition like that.

I wish something interesting would happen around here.*sigh*

When my cat died we had her cremated*, but I wanted to bury her so when we built our new house my dad told me that he didn't want a pet cemetary so her ashes got put in the wall of my room. That is sorta like the same thing except its not to ward anything off...Yeah I really love cats

I like that picture... it's cool. In my upstairs bathroom at my moms house there is a secret opening into a part of the attic. It's hidden in the closet. It's amazing. xP
