So, What Happened to Me?

(Photo: Ben Aqua)

Nothing. I've been working, working, working! I'll get back to posting more regularly soon. I promise!

In the meantime, check me out on the Today Show. I'll be there on May 27th between 9:30 and 10:00am to discuss the wonderful world of Kiki Strike.

Watch, and you'll learn the answers to the following questions . . .

1. Is she really as unbelievably charming as everyone says?
2. Did she finally have that parasitic twin removed?
3. Will she be able to form coherent sentences while in the presence of HER PERSONAL HERO, Mr. Al Roker?

Questions that may not be answered . . .

1. Is that REALLY her?
2. Is that a disguise or does her hair always look like that?
3. What's up with the strange foreign accent?

(If you happen to be attending the BEA, I'll be there later that afternoon. Stop by and say hi!)

Julia: All comments get posted unless they have foul language or are REALLY mean spirited. But I get A LOT of spam these days, and I think one of your comments might accidentally have been deleted as spam. Sorry about that! I meant to apologize earlier.

2.the artist who drew the "greetings from shadow city" postcards name is Stephanie Gladden Miller, so I was wondering if you're related or its just a coincdence??

1. I spend a lot of time wasting time and surfing the Internet.

2. Nope. She's friends with my sister, but she isn't related.

3. No, but I'm contemplating the purchase of a guinea pig.

4. It refers to TWO underground groups in Paris! heehee

MWAH! Most excellent--that's the week after I'm out for the summer, so I'll be able to watch! YES!!!

And Kirsten, don't consider--purchase. Guinea pigs are amazing, like gigantic hamsters. Or, you could get a rat or a mouse--just as fun, but they creep some people out. My friend has an albino rat named Presley who is quite possibly the most awesome domesticated rodent history has ever known. Not kidding. :)

I second what PoisonPen said... Guinea pigs are absolutely adorable!!! X3 The only problem I heard about them is that they're noctunal...?

Can't wait to see you on the today show!! I only have TWO questions.

and

Is the Shadow City going to be back up soon??

That's it.

Thanks,

Kristen: Thank you! I think it is so cool that you answer people, so yay for me and montana. My friend Lioness who reads Kiki passionately had several rats and she loved them to death. i think rats are excellent choices, very tidy, and not at all scary or plague-carrying. And I can recommend guinea pigs. They are wonderful!

I am so angry with myself, I totally forgot to record it! I was in the middle of math class and I was so close to screaming "ANNA YOU ARE SO STUPID!" in the middle of a quiz.
Can you post the video on your blog?

PS: This is Anna... The one who regularly comments here. Someone hacked into my account and changed my password, so I'm going anon until I find out who did it!

NOOOOO!! *shock and betrayal* YOU are an apple collaborator? (no offense intended)

Linux forever!

I never pictured you using apple...figured the whole "world-would-be-better-place-if-everyone-used-apple-therefore-we-will-make-our-products-incompatible-with-practically-everything-else" control freak thing would be off-putting for the chronicler of the irregulars.

That said, I am a citizen of the Silicon Valley, so I may be overreacting.

A little.

EQ: Believe me, I have no desire to help Mr. Jobs conquer the universe. I merely have very little talent for the computer sciences (or whatever you call them) and must turn to the most user-friendly devices! It's my secret shame. (Oh, and I think Apple products are pretty. And I'm a sucker for good design.)
