The Maine Tree Ape

According to the youtube description, this video was taken by a group of friends hiking through the woods of Maine. (Sure.)

As is often the case with videos of Bigfoot-like creatures, it generates more questions than the standard, "What IS it?"

I would like to know:

1. Why it didn't move.
2. What happened after the end of the video?
3. Why did some woman announce she was going to climb the tree?

What do you think?

I don't know what to say except that I think it's probably fake.

Why did they film it in pieces?

Looked cool, though. (It might just be a normal animal, however.)

Well.
1. Why it wasn't moving? Because it's a large stuffed animal.
2. After the video, they were all attacked by the said stuffed animal. Because it wasn't a stuffed animal at all.
And 3. Why does one need a reason to climb a tree?

Looks like rubbish (coat/trash bag/stuffed animal?) in a tree. :(

Here's a really weird video for you. If the truly bizarre lyrics aren't enough, the acrobatics are quite impressive.

at the end the dude with the camera zoomed out and it was high! no bear climbs that high! i wonder why they would even think it was a bear in the first place... maybe they wanted their vid to seem more realistic! and why would a monkey be hanging out in maine anyway?

i'm suspicious...

Dude, it was a porcupine. My mom ran into one EXACTLY like that while she was jogging a while ago. They do just sit there in trees like that and can get quite large. They freeze when they think they're under threat. Ape, my butt.

Fake or a bear. Certain species of bears climb in trees to sleep. They have the ability to climb very high.

I would say it was fake except the people were trying to get it to move and if they had made it themselves they would not point out a reason why it could be fake.

Maybe it's a black bear. They climb trees.

If it is a black bear maybe it was asleep. and just fell out of the tree

if it is real it may be very dangerous, when animals feel threatened or something they sit very very still and stare you down, dogs and cats arent like that but i think other animals are prone to this action. and what is a monkey lie animal doing in a forest like that? isnt that a little odd. it looks nothing like a bear

I would say bear. I've seen plenty of bears up trees. That's what it reminds me of.
