Inside the Empty Quarter, the Sand Sings
For centuries, the barren desert of Arabia's "Empty Quarter" was said to be haunted by evil spirits and djinn. Terrified travelers often reported hearing strange sounds and ominous music coming from the dunes.
We now know that those sounds were a phenomenon known as the Singing Sands. But that doesn't make them any less eerie. Listen to them here and here.

It's called Stiletto Spy School! I wish they had one aimed for teenage girls. It would certainly help me reach my full dark and dangerous potential. :D
So cool! But I wouldn't like to be there on a dark night. I have a weakness for disembodied voices.
Vendetta:You shouldn't say that! They're spooky and real.
The second sound was a frog... wasnt it? maybe my computers being stupid, but the title said "frog" lol...... :)

Also, has anyone hear read the bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud or the abhorsen Garth Nix????? If not, you defenatly should.
they sound so cool.....when you can turn it off, sure, it's really cool. but days of that?I dont think i could handle days of ghosts making that sound. slowly driving you insane with fright or just turning you nuts just hearing it nonstop....especially at night. I think it could drive a person insane Kirsten, have any people been known to go crazy from that?
I'm morbid huh?
