Too Good To Play With the Boys?

Jaime Nared is a twelve-year-old, 6'1" basketball superstar. In fact, she's so good that she's been kicked off her team.

What? Yep, Jaime has been playing in a boys' basketball league for a while, and though her teammates seem in awe of her talent, the parents of the competition weren't thrilled to discover a basketball goddess dominating the court. As soon as they caught a glimpse of Jaime's unbelievable skills, they searched the books and found an obscure rule banning mixed gender teams. So Jaime--by far the best player in the league--got the boot.

Because she's a girl. And because she's the best.

Check out a video of Jaime on Good Morning America below.

PS: I love the teammate they interview. He's awesome.

OMG, that may be the most sexist thing ever. And I was pretty sure that was illegal, don't fedral laws overpower state/city/game laws? So ha! It is illegal to kick her off the team! That is extremly sexist. Grr.

Ok, thats just stupid. Really. I mean, just because she's a girl? If she has talent, let the girl play. She really deserves it. If the parents care that much they can take their boy off the team and put him in the girls team. Maybe it would suit him better. ha. I admire her though. Im glad she's not totally crushed by that or anything, and she wasnt to get to the NBA. Plus, she obviously has crazy skills and shes only 12! In shes 6'1''! Im only a little older and I'm only 5'4''! Aaanyway, she really deserves a place on the team, at least next year if the cant change the rule now, and I hope they never give up trying. Im sure they wont.

Ok Im done now.

Whoa, I'm like her age and how tall am I? About 5'5" or something? XD Psh, you can't ban her just 'cuz she's a girl. C'mon, make a better excuse, I know they're jealous just 'cuz someone else is better than their kid. (I wanna sue those people soo badly! *runs out with Jin Ai*) GO JAIME!!

Have they ever heard that girls rule and boys drool!!?!?!?!?? I can't believe how sexist those people are. It's kinda like the time when girls weren't allowed to vote. UNFAIR! I have a feeling if a boy thats extremily good joins say the girl's soccer team, he'd be allowed to play.

Girls should be, scientifically, better at sports due to lower center of gravity or something. Anyway, that really bugs me, almost as much as the fact that I never find women's sports on TV. I tried to record a football game and it was only guy's teams.

The obscure law thing is wierd because I read somewhere this one state is really strict about all-girls all-boys things. I'm surprised they still have separate school sports.

Anyway, if there was a boy tearing up the court, how would they get rid of him?

Jaime is going to be my new fave name from now on.

I'm a guy,but I'm greatly against people being unjust about gender.

They shouldn't have kicked her off the team in the first place...

That's just stupid.

I find it amusing that they're fine with it until she completely annihilates the other team.

Something to point out, though. Not to be rude, but it is rather hypocritical to say, "Omigosh, that's so sexist," and then go on about how girls are better than guys. Sexism works both ways, keep in mind.

It's so funny! This girl, she's about 4feet tall, LOVES sports. So she gets out there among kids who are like 6feet, hears all the snickers about how she's so short. Then she runs circles around them. And watches their astonished, arrogant, faces. priceless

I saw that! how ridiculous. Notice how it's the coaches and parents kicking her off the team, her teamates would be happy to have her back. How immature

Boys should realy learn that girls are toupher and smarter! I mean it is just sexist! Like that should be illegal! Look at me! I may not be good at sports but I could kill those boys in reading and spying! like who would do that! We as girls can don what ever we want who cares wht the parents say! I say if this happens to you sue sue SUE! Also we should show what we girls are made of! Go out for you're hardet and make the guys look bad at what they do! Do what ever you can do to stop that rule! It must be gone!!! But there boys can't live with them can't live with out them! So go for it! We as the Zodiac girls will try and destroy that rule but that is top secret! Peace!

Who does all the cooking?
Girls

Who does the chores?
Girls

Who sits in the cubicle all fat? Boys.

Seriously, it's so dumb that they have these girl-boy stereotypes.

By the way, I'm the same height as Kiki Strike.

no, invisible turtle, i doubt they would kick a boy off the team. when a boy does something fantastic, parents are all like, oh wow! it's amazing! let him play where ever! with a girl it's all like, wow, it's amazing! wait- she's playing on the boys team? that's not fair for the other players. it's not in the rules that she can play on a boy's team. how stupid are these people? it's not right! LET JAIMIE PLAY!

Psh that's dumb. Those parents of the opposing teams are a little full of themselves, and their kids probably are, too. Who cares if some boy gets beaten by a girl? I used to beat almost every guy I arm wrestled at my old school! They took it like mature adults when they were only in 6th grade. You'd think an actual adult could act a little more mature when their kid gets beat.
