Is This a Doorway on Mars?

New NASA photos have revealed what looks like a "man-made" door on the side of a mountain on the surface of Mars. Of course the experts claim that it's merely a geological formation, but I like to think that it's the entrance to the Martian's secret underground lair.

You can see more pictures, and read a fascinating post about the possiblity of sending humans to Mars, on The Daily Galaxy blog.

that is pretty cool. MAybe that's where Hades is. I always pictured Hades Underworld to be on mars instead of under our shoes. I have no idea why. Maybe that's where Euridice is trapped, and Orpheus is at the door, singing and crying. My o my, what a gruesome future he holds. Until death, that is.

Poor Eurydice xP. It'd suck to be on Mars. You'd think she'd get cold...

(that's one of my favorite Greek myths)

It would be so cool if it was a real man-made "door-way!"

Euridice was orpheus's fiance. right after she got married, she was bit by a snake and died. orpheus went looking for her and almost got her out of the underworld, but not quite. she was sent back and he eventually died of a broken heart and was reunited with euridice after death.
