Significant Objects

Significant Objects is a fascinating project that asks writers to pen "descriptions" of objects that are later sold on ebay. The proceeds go to charity, and the list of writers who've contributed is pretty amazing.

I was asked to contribute, and my "item" (the world's creepiest dome doll) went on sale earlier this week. Check it out! (And make sure you check out the other items on the Significant Objects site as well.)

COOL!!

According to ebay, winner will get the story, too.

Will you post that? Or will only the lucky winner get it?

you totally sold me on a piece of ordinary junk! i would've bought it but i'd have to use my mom's card and she'd be all "why did you buy a plasitc doll in a snowglobe that doesn't even snow." so i didn't bid on it. :(

(this is totally random and irrelevant BUT) after three PAINFULLY LONG years, i finally got my braces off!!!! *insert happy dance here* now i just have to wear a retainer for three more years.

Wow! That is SO COOL!! Where can I get one??? Oh, and Anonymous Weekly Bloggers, you HAVE to check out the Guggenheim Musem! It was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and the architecture is amazing!! Also, it would be cool to look at the art too, but the building is what I would look forward to. You should google some pics of it, it's really an amazing building.

i never liked things enclosed in glass. I mean, they're put in there for a reason. no need to release them. they scare me.
