The Blue Hill Horror

Right after I uploaded my post about the snake with a foot (see below), reports of another unfortunate creature began to surface.

On September 12, four teenagers were hanging out near Cerro Azul in Panama when they spied an unusual beast leaving a nearby cave. When it began to climb across some rocks toward them, they freaked out and began throwing sticks and stones at it. (I'd just like to point something out here: There were FOUR of them. And ONE creature. Draw your own conclusions.)

The beast died, fell in some water, and later washed ashore where it was photographed by locals.

Anyway, the creature's appearance is pretty unusual. You can see pictures (and read more) at Cryptomundo. The photos aren't gory, but they are pretty sad, if you ask me. So only the hard-hearted should take a look.

Yay! First comment!

It really annoys me that people would take a stray bunny home(or even a filthy rat)and throw things at amazingly awesome and fantasticly weird creatures, and not vice versa. I, personally would choose the snake-with-a-foot or rock-climbing creature over a bunny any day...

yeah, it looks like some humanoid. I thought it was actually a human at first. :(

Did like scientists analyze it or anything? Because in the Cryptumundo thing it showed the decayed body. .__.

I think they should totally get DNA samples on it try to match it up with a contemporary animal. It looks a little bit like a tree sloth without hair (they ARE good swimmers) or maybe a little like sheep or oversized hairless bat, considering the way it climbed and the hook things on its feet

im from panama....jeez i kinda feel bad...but i can get to what they were thinking i mean, if its pitch dark(which it is at night in Panama) and your just chilling with your buddies when you see something coming towards you, primal instinct, run or hit it. i feel sorry for the creature but the kids were just scared

It look a bit human :( and the way its sprawled out on the rocks is so sad.

However, it is understandable why the teenagers killed it.

Well gish. I wouldn't have killed it! I would've just, you know, spoke loudly to let it know I was there and backed away slowly. (What? It works on bears.) I'm not going to look at the pictures yet because I'm not hard hearted and need to brace myself a little :)

I would have sicked around and take notes about it and its environment in my journal. Then I would have called my cousin and told her to get the heck over there... I wonder if there are any more of them and if the rest will be killed by teenagers too....
