My Kind of Merit Badges

The Boy Scouts are offering some awesome merit badges these days. Once you've perfected your knot-tying and survival skills, you can try your hand at . . .

Shark Fishing
Cat Herding (shown above)
Brain Surgery
Coffee Drinking
Cow Tipping, and more!

See them all here. (I think they'd look pretty good on a Girl Scout sash, too.)

I've heard that attempting to organize/control a third- and fourth-grade track meet is harder than herding cats. No joke. There should be a merit badge for /that/.

My old 6th grade teacher shaowed us that on the last day of school. She compared the cat hurding with her teaching us and the "scratches on her face" were worth it as long as she was able to "herd" us in the right direction in life and are successful. She was my favorite teacher! :)

"Like herding cats" is one of my all-time favorite phrases, and so this just ROCKS! AND I want the brain-surgery merit badge pretty badly. Thanks. This TOTALLY made my day.

invisible turtle- do they have to get insurance first, in case they get sued for malpractice while trying for the brain surgery badge?
