The Man Who Eats Pet Food for a Living

Simon Allison tests pet food for the British supermarket chain Marks & Spencer--and he takes his job VERY seriously. He personally samples each and every product before it goes on the shelves, and he claims to have trained his taste buds to detect the flavors that animals love.

His favorite? The organic luxury chicken dinner for cats. "It has the taste and aroma of chicken and some of what you call the red flavours - things like heart and liver; gutsy, savoury notes. Then you get a mealy, green pea, pulse aroma and occasionally a sweeter note from the carrot."
